DIY Paper Mini Storage Bag

Materials needed:

  • Paper (cardstock, scrapbook paper, wrapping paper)
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue or double-sided tape
  • Bone folder (optional)

Step 1: Cut the paper Cut the paper to the desired size of the storage bag. For a mini storage bag, a good size to start with is 6 inches by 6 inches. You can adjust the size depending on your preference and the size of the items you want to store.

Step 2: Fold the paper in half Fold the paper in half, making sure that the edges are aligned. Use a bone folder to crease the fold, or you can use your fingers to create a sharp crease.

Step 3: Fold the sides On the two sides of the paper that are perpendicular to the fold, fold about a half-inch of paper inwards. These will be the sides of the storage bag. Crease the folds well.

Step 4: Add glue Add glue or double-sided tape to the edges of the folded sides. Make sure to add glue to both sides of the paper.

Step 5: Fold the sides again Fold the sides inwards again, this time folding the edges with the glue towards the center. Make sure to crease the folds well.

Step 6: Add glue to the bottom Add glue or double-sided tape to the bottom of the storage bag. Make sure to add glue to both sides of the paper.

Step 7: Fold the bottom Fold the bottom of the paper up to create the base of the storage bag. Make sure to crease the folds well.

Step 8: Add glue to the sides Add glue or double-sided tape to the sides of the storage bag, on the inside of the bag. Make sure to add glue to both sides of the paper.

Step 9: Fold the sides up Fold the sides up, attaching them to the sides of the storage bag. Make sure to press firmly to make sure the sides are securely attached.

Step 10: Allow the glue to dry Allow the glue to dry completely before using the storage bag. This will ensure that the sides and bottom are securely attached.

Step 11: Decorate (optional) If you want to add a personal touch to your storage bag, you can decorate it with markers, stickers, or any other crafting supplies you have on hand.

And that’s it! With just a few simple steps, you can create a DIY paper mini storage bag that is perfect for storing small items such as jewelry, paper clips, or other office supplies. The best part is that you can use any paper you have on hand to create your storage bag, making it a fun and cost-effective project.
